Out Of The Box
by Paul Trog
When do the perceptual schematics ingrained in the soul become consciousness?
And when does that consciousness begin to foster imaginative, visionary thinking
that transforms reality?
By the regular and disciplined practice of Christ-centered meditative and intuitive thinking, these schemata, endowed to us by Almighty God at birth, awaken.
They develop a growing spiritual awareness heretofore undiscovered. It is like an awakening: living thoughts suddenly emanating from within. These thoughts, in turn, guide the decision making process and become reality.
A dormant set of spiritual senses, awakened every day anew, then blossom into
an insight, an understanding far above and beyond the dimension of Logic, Reason
and Time. I believe that dimension to be the cave so masterfully described by Plato.
It has boxed in humanity since Adam’s original sin.
Indeed, a living, Christ-centered, out-of-the-box thought process is what the world
needs most urgently. It can lead us out of the caves we live in, into the realm of God.
